Information for Pier 38 Harbor Guests

(Please do not fax the info page with your request)

PIER 38 LOCATION: We are located ˝ mile south of the Oakland Bay Bridge, just north of South Beach Harbor. Our floating dock is located between Piers 36 and 38 and is a side-tie dock. A LAT/LONG position located east of the harbor entrance is:
Latitude
37.46.84 N Longitude 122.23.13 W

BERTHING LOCATION: The guest berthing area is on the north side of the floating dock and sometimes on the south side. The harbormaster recommends that all vessels berth bow-facing-east as vessel wakes often enter the harbor. Spring lines are absolutely necessary and should be tied so that the lines have room to stretch. On baseball game days there is more wake than normal but this typically subsides by sunset. The are no finger piers as the dock resembles a side-tie configuration. 100’ on the south side of the dock is reserved for commercial charter boats only.

ACCESS & KEYS: Please come to the harbor office for your keys.  If you are planning to arrive after 5 p.m. please notify the Harbormaster when you make your reservation.  To exit the pier, enter the pier shed or warehouse building and walk along the driveway towards the street. The black doors to the south of the roll-up driveway door are for pedestrian access. All gates to the sidewalk are closed.

POWER & WATER: Pier 38 has some power available on the western portion of the floating dock. Limited 110V – 30A receptacles are available on a first come-first serve basis. Water hoses are available on the dock for guest use. (2) 480V 3ph 150 amps (ea.) receptacles for mega yachts. Please do not use heavy detergents or other pollutants while in the harbor. Pier 38 has a zero discharge policy, which requires guests to discontinue use of bilge pumps while visiting the harbor except in case of an emergency.

MISCELLANEOUS INFO:  There is no shower available at present, but again, we are hoping for everyone’s patience and understanding as we develop the marina.
